Hi Philippe, Restarting TP desktop should be clearing out all the current states already. After it starts again it should have no knowledge of any old states you may have loaded previously. Sounds like you're doing things correctly... maybe there's some TP issue. Try shutting down TP desktop (not a restart but quit), then check the Windows Task Manager and make sure nothing named "TouchPortal" is still running. Especially the "TouchPortalSerices.exe". (It may help to go to the Details view in TM.) If it is, kill that process and then start TP again. If that's not the issue and TP is indeed shutting down fully each time, then I'm not sure what the problem may be. I'd double-check that the changes you made (moving states to another category) were actually saved as you expected... which seems obvious but you never know. Other than that... might be an issue/question to raise with TP developers. Let me know. HTH, |

Hi,
In the customstates.ini, I have wrongly left a "Miscellaneous" category for some states.
From what I understand, when loading TP, the plugin submit all custom.ini to TP.
So, I decided to correct the wrong category for each state which was concerned and to restart TP..
TP keep them in the Miscellaneous category.
Then I have been reading the plugin WIKI which explain the management of states and I decided to Clear all custom states using the MSFS States Editor template.
When restarting TPclient and server, I still got my local varibles with the "Miscellaneous category".
Am I doing something wrong?
How to clean categories on TP?
