All of the functionality is not yet available in the default version.

Steps to reproduce

• with save-session disabled and no folder open
• create a new, unsaved file
• click the red "x" button on the Atom window in the upper left
• Atom prompts if user would like to save the file

If save-session is active, users are not prompted to save the file, the window just exits. When Atom is activated again, the unsaved file is loaded where the user left off.

Not at my side, i'm closing atom with pending changes in files and on reopen it restoring all how it was when closed. (asking to save file only when closing tabs)

Do you have a folder open? If so, close the folder and create a new file. Atom currently will not let you exit without saving the file.
