Expected behavior of the wanted feature
as far i understand frame-step play just play the video at current speed to the next frame
holding it is kinda fast for regular videos, for really low fps content like gif its actually slower than using frame-step seek and single press will be laggy because it "plays" to the next frame
holding frame-step seek do it slower but very often with high res and heavier codecs it do it extremely slow (to the point that it is better to play the video at a low speed)
it would be nice to have a custom fps limiter/override option that will play at needed speed and for lower fps content it will speedup until it reach next frame
while searching i also saw this comment about using backwards playback for backward frame-step, could this be added as experimental option?
