Previously I've used this tool and it works properly but today this tool didn't automatically regenerate the compiled template upon saving any changes to the dust template.

I've installed v1.1.0 on my VS 3013 and VS 2015 Preview.

Without details its hard to say what happened.

In my experience that happens when your template contains error/non-compile-able code. I haven't found a reliable way of bubbling up compilation errors up yet but you can try compiling it manually and see if it compiles.

Easiest way would be to run this in a nodeJs shell:

var src = 'template markup'; 
var compiled = dust.compile(src, 'hello');
dust.loadSource(compiled);
dust.render('hello', { world: "Earth" }, function(err, out) {
  // `out` contains the rendered output.
 console.log(out);
});

And see if your template loads up without errors.

I have a template which, when I use the nodejs dust compiler, has no problems. When I use the duster.net extension it fails to compile.

I tracked the error down and found it is related to this line:

<button type="button" class='btn btn-{@gt key=PercentChange value="0" type="number"}success{:else}danger{/gt} dropdown-toggle' data-toggle="dropdown">PercentChange - Helpers</button>

If I change that line to be:
{@gt key=PercentChange value="0" type="number"} <button type="button" class="btn btn-success dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown">PercentChange - Helpers</button> {:else} <button type="button" class="btn btn-danger dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown">PercentChange - Helpers</button> {/gt}

Then it works happily. After doing a little bit of testing it appears the problem is related to mixing the single and double quotes.

I'm going with the workaround but if you want to work on fixing this I hope this comment helps.

Quotes are always a problem. If you can submit a PR, I'll be glad to accept it. Unfortunately, I have not been able to spend much time on this lately.
