Request for Video Tutorial for Better Guidance

I hope you're doing well! I’ve been trying to follow the guide provided for [briefly describe the project or feature], but I’ve encountered some challenges in fully understanding the steps. Despite following the instructions carefully, I’m struggling with it.

Would it be possible for you to create a video tutorial to complement the guide? I believe a visual walkthrough would really help in clarifying some of the concepts and provide better clarity on the steps.

A video tutorial would be nice but I'd rather fix my code first. Even though the program works as intended on my end with low latency, I consider the code ugly, especially the part where the config file is parsed and the values are loaded to a hardcoded large array. This logic makes it difficult to define macros or add new features like controller to touch support. If I made a video tutorial now, the tutorial could be made obsolete by a rewrite of the project.

Virtualbind needs at least 3 configuration files:

• virtualbind.conf: (Base conf) This determines which input devices to capture and the size of virtual touchscreen.
• game-name.conf: (Game conf) This currently has only the number of default profile.
• game-name..conf: (Profile conf) This contains the actual keybindings: Location of buttons, whether mouse is captured and used for panning camera etc. You can create multiple of these and switch with a hotkey.

All files go to /etc/virtualbind. The format is described in the wiki. The repo also has example configuration files. The names for game and profile conf files are arbitary but need to match.

by All files go to /etc/virtualbind do you mean all the files including virtualbind.c, klt.c , example-conf?

i tried to by creating a folder named virtualbind and moving the binaary into it, i am getting
'./virtualbind example-conf/com.…' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)

All configuration files go to /etc/virtualbind, the program searches for .conf files in this directory. The application files (.c files, .h files, executable etc.) can be anywhere, I have them in my home directory. The argument of virtualbind is not a file path, it is the "game name". With the files I have (see below) I can use sudo /path/to/virtualbind com.miHoYo.GenshinImpact or sudo /path/to/virtualbind com.unknown. sudo /path/to/virtualbind /home/mr-victory/Development/virtualbind/example-conf/con.miHoYo.GenshinImpact.conf or sudo /path/to/virtualbind /home/mr-victory/Development/virtualbind/example-conf/con.miHoYo.GenshinImpact are invalid.
