Hello there—Hope this is the right place to share thoughts!
This source port is incredible, wow—the per pixel lighting and adjusted textures are just chef's kiss, and love the new enemy behaviors!
In case it's helpful for anyone else on a Mac, I did the following steps:
- Created a new Bottle (Windows 10 64 bit)
- Under Bottle Actions, "Open C: Drive", then pasted the Inferno directory into
drive_c/Program Files/
- Added the files per the installation instructions (descent.pig, descent.hog, and d1xr-sc55-music.dxa in the /d1 directory)
- Then "Run Command", select
Inferno.exe and Save Command as Launcher to have it show up as a launchable icon
- That's it!
There's a little bit of audio weirdness and the occasional stutter, but pretty much runs great with the default D3DMetal Graphics.
Thank you for the great work here!
