Laravel 13 Support

We are in the process of upgrading to Laravel 13 and PHP 8.5, however the package does not currently support Laravel 13.

I can see there is an old PR by Shift for this upgrade, but it has been sat.

Is there an update on L13 compatibility?

#2757 goes in the right direction but has a really messy diff. If someone can provide a clean pull request, I can review and merge soon.
