Is there already an issue for your problem?
NZBGet Version
v25.5-testing
Platform
Windows
Environment
Windows 10 (and macOS 15)
Current Behavior
NZBGet fails to locate the log file via the System Tray context menu when the logging mode is set to Rotate. This issue occurs specifically when no log file from Append mode in the directory.
Expected Behavior
Windows Explorer should open the MainDir and highlight/select the currently active log file generated by the Rotate mechanism
Steps To Reproduce
- Go to NZBGet -> Settings -> Logging.
- Set the WriteLog option to Rotate.
- In Paths change the MainDir to a new or empty directory (to ensure there is no existing log file created by the Append mode).
- Save all changes.
- Open the System Tray (Windows) or Status Bar (macOS).
- Right-click the NZBGet icon to open the Context Menu.
- Navigate to Show in Windows Explorer (or Finder) -> Log-File.
