It is possible have open up an interactive session while being on the home page. I have attached a screenshot of what this looks like at the end of this description.
To recreate this issue:
Start a session, get on the the wait time page, and immediately click the home page button, even if the wait time is low/at 0
Initial Thoughts: guessing the website doesn't send a signal to the backend to stop the start ci process when you click the homepage button and thus the start ci process runs concurrently with the load mainpage function
