No error indication when anything on serial port is going wrong

When a wrong serial port is choosed, or the module is just not answering, the API is blocking and gives no feedback to the user application. There should be a error handling on wrong data received on a serial port. Additionally there should be a timeout when the DECT module is not answering requests.

Has there been a change from this perspective, or will it still be the same in 1.0.7?

I don't think that anything has changed in this part. But if you want to test it, just pull out your DECT-Hardware from the Raspberry and start the application. When the application hangs or don't spit out a error message about the missing board, the bug still exists.
