ADC conversion with external trigger from timer not working

i have ch32V003F4P6 . the ADC doesnt convert when external trigger is selected to use channel 1 timer1 =001 or ch2 timer1 =010. is this a known issue? please find attached my code. the adc status register always show 0. the control is stuck in EOC bit reading loop indicating the timer pulse is not reaching the ADC. i print the register values to a LCD

thank you for this page.. I fixed the issue which was an oversight. The CC2E bit (4) in TIM1_CCER register was not enabled earlier. enabling this bit is necessary to turn on the output of the capture compare channel. This block resolved the issue and the adc triggers based on the timer1 chanel2 pwm output wired internally to ADC. la t0,R16_TIM1_CCER
