Possibility to know if the language server is restarted

Is there a way to know if the language server is restarted? When a user triggers 'Restart language server', are certain files created which I can watch?
Or can you implement an event where I can listen on?

No, there's no event you can listen to. Why would you need to know if it's restarted ?

Yes I know, but that's not what I need. I need to know when the openedge-project.json is changed.

I now see I can create a createFileSystemWatcher and then do:

watcher.onDidChange((uri) => fire(uri, "change"), null, context.subscriptions);

I'm using entry-point getProjectInfo to get the propath of a project.
I tested your file-watcher, but it seems the getProjectInfo still returns the old propath, after I've changed it in openedge-project.json.

It's only updated after the LS is restarted.

Can you update getProjectInfo result, after the file is changed?
