The pinned kfr version is modified, five years old and three major versions behind upstream

When looking into building libossia with system-provided dependencies, I noticed that the pinned kfr version (jcelerier/kfr@8288787) has modifications on top of (some commit past) kfr 4.2.1 from 2021-04-28 - current upstream kfr is 7.0.1 (2025-11-14)!

Have you tested, that current kfr works with this project? FWIW, customizations on top of a five year old version of an upstream dependency is not something that any downstream would be able or would want to backport.

current head actually uses KFR 7.0.1! :) https://github.com/ossia/libossia/tree/master/3rdparty

there's two patches on top of it but they are not relevant for distro builds, only for people who want to build against a clang / lld toolchain

Is it possible to build against the dynamic C-API? Or are you only building against the static libs/ the headers?
