adding a region / waypoint on android with the "place picker"

I'd like to add a waypoint in a more automatic way. On the sidebar, I can find "Waypoints" and click the "+" button to manually add them, and that works fine, but it's laborious to copy & paste each location. I'm hoping to pre-fill them in some manner.

Where can I find the place picker?
