It would be useful to provide more extensive checking that users can run before and/or after a toolkit install to verify the usual conditions are met to run perfSONAR. For example:
- Checking for appropriate resources on the host like number of CPU, RAM, swap space and disk space.
- Verify forward and reverse DNS resolution, ideally from the host and from another remote host too
- Check the usual ports are opened, maybe by testing to a well known perfSONAR host that we would provide?
Some of that might already be provided by pscheduler troubleshoot and could then more easily be run after the install.
