AirDroid Web main frame

I use an app called AirDroid to access my phone (which sits where I can get a signal) from my laptop in another room. It uses a Chrome Widget (also mentions "Chrome Legacy Window)). It appears to have only one frame. Within the frame are icons for various controls (messages, screen mirroring, etc). Try as I might, I cannot use Vimium or Chrome search or tab or arrow keys to get into that main frame and select the control i want to activate. Anyone else use AirDroid or something with a similar setup? Or any ideas what else to try?
