I think it would be great to have a daemon that acts as a bridge between applications relying on the DBus Secret Service API (implemented by e.g. GNOME Keyring and KWallet) and CLI tools for storing passphrases (e.g. pass).
It seems what I am asking for is https://github.com/mdellweg/pass_secret_service/ - just implemented using this awesome Pimalaya framework. ;-)
I hope this is the correct place to open a wishlist request for such functionality.
