Audio distortion and video playback issues in Steam Client

Hi,

I'm running Steam for Linux via box64 on an Orange Pi 5 Max (RK3588) with Debian 13.

I'm experiencing an issue where all audio within the Steam desktop client is very harsh and distorted. This happens with store page videos and friend notification sounds. Also, the videos on store pages won't play correctly.

Is this a known issue, or is it something specific to my device/setup?

That's not a known issue.

Tbh, video seems to crash my steam client on my side.

What version of steam are you using (stable / beta / beta 64bits "steamrt3") and what versionof box64 are you using?

I'm using the stable version (1782866176), installed via the install_steam.sh script.

My box64 version is commit 90dffce (compiled this morning).

Regarding the video issue, I also experience crashes. However, sometimes instead of the whole client crashing, it just plays a loud harsh noise and then force-stops the video playback.
