scaling the DOM

You claim that you have to style all elements to scale the DOM rendering. Have you considered using CSS transforms?

I have. I know the browser landscape has changed since I originally wrote this test. If you would like to whip up another test page utilizing CSS transforms, I'd be thrilled to add it to the repo.
