Specifying local user?

Is there a way to have the binary not launch in Local mode, but to treat the environment's username as the character?

Interested in setting this up for a multi-user UNIX system, a la bsdgames phantasia

It doesn't look like what you're asking for is possible, just from referring to usurper /?.

You'd probably have to make your own fork of the project in order to reach that particular design goal.

I'm wondering if there might be some way to act as the dropfile / node selection process to 'emulate' what the BBS frontend would do to fulfill the 'account' selection.
Are there any good docs to get some details on this process?
