for the past 2 days i've been trying different methods of trying to bypass this. I've had problems using ubuntu as it kept going to my internal instead of my external ssd that i'm using to test this as this is my first time ever using linux. i booted bios (ignoring the installation error) and i could boot ubuntu but it used my internal and wasn't letting me choose my ssd for full installation. i tried going with cachy os and it gave me the same error so i think thats the problem. i haven't tried to boot cachy but i'm pretty sure this installation error is causing something to go wrong.

I actually get this same warning as well trying to install CachyOS. However, on my laptop, it still sets CachyOS to boot by default, and it actually is a successful installation. The warning is only about grub configuration stuff, if it works it's okay for now (I'll work on a fix though).

I think the problem is that because you installed Ubuntu to your internal, there's some confusion between the Ubuntu boot entry and the CachyOS boot entry. This of course needs to be improved upon.

Are you able to boot into CachyOS if you select it manually in the BIOS?

As for Linux_Boot_Instructions.txt, I'm just going to remove this part of the program, the readme is enough. I think it's causing problems because of onedrive folder redirects or antivirus.

windows 10 as this is a low spec dell laptop

ive just now attempted to boot cachy, it didnt boot and left me with a bunch of code i can send a picture over. there was 2 entries of cachy in the bios but i only attempted one of them. ubuntu is also still in there. how would we remove ubuntu to make sure cachy boots properly?

secure boot is not on. PTT is on idk what it does tho.. that may be my issue? i just didnt know how to turn it off but i dont think it was my issue considering ubuntu didnt work with secure boot and i turned it off boom it worked. so idk why cachy isnt working?

heres some things ive noticed with my current problem:

i have 2 cachy os in my BIOS

I'm thinking this is actually the problem. The installer might just be bailing entirely after encountering this error.

Afterwards we'll have to clean up your boot entries. For now it would be a good idea to delete the 7 GB partitions that ULLI created during failed installations.
