I am using Windows and updating docker to last version solved the problem.

It's a dependencies issue:

• Issue 1 — Peer dependency conflict: @vitejs/plugin-react@5.x only declares peer support up to Vite 7 (^4.2.0 || ^5.0.0 || ^6.0.0 || ^7.0.0), but Dependabot bumped vite to ^8.0.13. The npm ci in Docker enforces peer deps strictly and fails.
• Issue 2 — Node version: Vite 8 requires node ^20.19.0 || >=22.12.0, but the Dockerfile uses node:20-alpine which may be pulling an older 20.x patch.

Fix

@vitejs/plugin-react needs to be upgraded to a version that supports Vite 8 and regenerate the lockfile locally, then update the Dockerfile's Node version.

Step 1 — Update @vitejs/plugin-react locally:

cd dashboard
npm install @vitejs/plugin-react@latest

This regenerates package-lock.json with a compatible version and resolves the peer dep conflict.

Step 2 — Update the Dockerfile's Node base image from node:20-alpine to a version that satisfies Vite 8's engine requirement

Alternatively:

• rm ./dashboard/package-lock.json
• edit package.json, change "vite": "^5.0.0" (which shouldn't resolve to 8) to ">=5" or just "*"
• npm install
• docker compose up
