Extension disappeared from Fedora GNOME and won't reinstall

Description

I had SimpleWeather setup and running fine on my desktop w/ Fedora 42 + GNOME 48.

Today, I realized that the extension is no longer visible in the top bar, and disappeared completely from the Extension Manager. When I try to reinstall, "Install" button switches from "Installing" back to "Install". No successful installation actually takes place.

I have a laptop also running Fedora 42 + GNOME 48 on the same kernel which does not have any of these issues. The laptop uses the same (plus more) extensions as the desktop.

System

Fedora 42 w/ GNOME 48
Kernel 6.18.6-100.fc42.x86_64

Settings

Cannot currently reinstall or access extension settings

This sounds like it might be an Extension Manager issue and not a SimpleWeather issue.

Does running

journalctl -r | grep -i simpleweather

show any errors?

You might be on to something here. When running the command on the laptop (working), nothing shows up. When trying it on the desktop (broken), I get the following:

Journal file /var/log/journal/5c6146b5f3014f349da4eae9d2ec6b63/system@00064926192a0bcf-a2b3d990021ace4f.journal~ is truncated, ignoring file.

I ran sudo journalctl --vacuum-time=2d to clear the error so that journalctl -r | grep -i simpleweather returns no errors / is blank. I still experience the same issues when trying to install SimpleWeather after that.

I'll do some further testing but as of right now I'm not sure what or where the issue is. Let me know if you find any more information. Thanks!

Couldn't figure this out, so ended up doing a clean install of Fedora 43 and it works without issue. Since nobody else experienced the same, it was probably due to something beyond SimpleWeather.
