pipe into ffmpeg?

Would it be possible to pipe the video and audio directly into ffmpeg instead of writing it to file?

It might be possible, but I'm not sure how much work it would be to enable piping both audio and video streams into ffmpeg in a cross-platform way...

The cross platform way would be trickier I assume.
The reason I ask is because I want to use dashjs to copy a Livestream and pipe it into ffmpeg in Linux.

Saving a Livestream into file would grow too big.

Would you be willing to add this to the codebase for some payment?
