As we talked about, there are different Options, for the Hosting and Relay's function.

I don't unterstand that much about tor or bittorrent network or i2p and so on, but something like a loadbalancer that knows which other relays are active from a list and routes depending on them?
idk how hard it would be to build something like that, but maybe there could be a module that gets the ip if enabled and from the other croc relays and use them too by default?
Also add a ranking about availability and routes them first?
In that way you could reduce the need of too much traffic.

What else do you need to know about the hosting stuff?
i had a Hetzner VPS with 20TB/mon Traffic and didn't had any problems so far but it was in Europe.
Also there would be "Contabo" also in Europe, unlimited traffic but limited in bandwidth like 300 or 600 mbit and more depends how much you pay.

Yes, you're right croc just needs a load balancer to make sure incoming connections still get stapled together in the same relay (or something more sophisticated would be to make a network that passes between relays, but that's much more complicated for what its worth).

Yes croc would work in K8S but it still needs a load balancer of some sort. I would accept a PR that can use croc with multiple relays.
