Why not also including the "reported horizontal accuracy" (1 byte) when calculating the estimated path

I do have a question regarding the calculation of the "Estimated Path" you calculate with the LOWESS method:
Would it not make sense to also include the "reported accuracy" (1 byte) within these calculation ? Can you recommend an algorithm which makes use of it ?
