FWIW you can use markedfor markdown -> HTML and turndown-rn for HTML -> markdown, which is what we're doing.

Hi, we don't plan to support markdown structure. If you need to use markdown formatting I really recommend you to check react-native-enriched-markdown.

However, if you are fine with using HTML under the hood and have markdown like live formatting, then please try using textShortcuts prop, which allows customizing live styles detection as user types. That way you should be able to build markdown like behavior. See it in action below
