Video recording missing 0–12 seconds at the start

Description:
When recording video, the recorded file consistently omits 0–12 seconds from the beginning of the stream/source. The rest of the recording is fine, but the start is cut off.
Steps to reproduce:
Start playback of a video stream/source
Start recording
Wait for the desired recording duration
Stop recording
Play back the recorded file
Expected behavior:
The recorded video should begin at the moment recording started, with no missing content at the start.
Actual behavior:
The first 0–12 seconds are missing from the recorded file.
