The NMR Unofficial ToolSet (NUTS) is an initiative of three former PhD colleagues working at the intersection of solid-state NMR spectroscopy and computational chemistry. We build and maintain open-source Python tools that make everyday NMR workflows less painful and more reproducible.
What we build
Simpyson is a Pythonic interface to SIMPSON, one of the most widely used codes for simulating solid-state NMR experiments. It lets you build spin systems, construct pulse sequences, and analyse results all within Python, with a few lines of code.
Spinplots is a lightweight plotting library built on top of NMRglue, designed to produce publication-quality NMR spectra with minimal effort. Because you shouldn't need to fight your plotting library after a long day at the spectrometer.
Why sponsor us?
NMR software has historically been fragmented, underfunded, and hard to use. We're trying to change that with one well-documented Python package at a time. Sponsorships help us dedicate time to maintenance, documentation, new features, and expanding the ecosystem to cover more NMR methods and simulation backends.
Every contribution, however small, directly supports open, reproducible science for the NMR community.
