Hi, I'm Roman. I build Meeting Transcriber, a free, MIT licensed macOS menu bar app that notices when you are in a Teams, Zoom or Webex call, records it, and turns it into a transcript with separated speakers and a summary. Recording, transcription and speaker separation happen on your own Mac and your audio never leaves the machine; the summary step goes through the Claude CLI or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, so you can point it at a local Ollama or LM Studio model and keep everything offline, or turn it off.

If you are reading this you have probably already used the app, so I will skip the pitch and answer the only question a sponsors page needs to: what the money does. It covers the running costs of shipping a signed and notarized macOS app, mainly the yearly Apple Developer Program fee and the Mac mini that runs the end-to-end tests. The app itself is free for everyone either way: no paid tier, no sponsor-only features, nothing behind a login.

So sponsoring does not buy a roadmap or influence. Beyond the running costs it is a signal that the work is worth continuing, which on some evenings counts for more than the amount.

If the app saved you an hour of writing up meeting notes, that is already the outcome I was after. A one-time sponsorship is as welcome as a monthly one, and not sponsoring at all is completely fine.

$3 a month

A small monthly thank you. It goes toward the running costs, and the app stays identical for everyone, sponsor or not.

$9 a month

Roughly the Apple Developer Program fee spread over twelve months. One sponsor at this tier and the signing and notarization are close to paying for themselves.

$25 a month

This more than covers the yearly Apple Developer Program fee, and the rest goes toward recouping the Mac mini that runs the end-to-end tests. The surplus is also a signal, and the signal is the point.
