update older code block formatting

majority of theme's code has been updated over the years to utilize a "cleaner" modern format, but there are still some older areas.

How do you feel about configuring and using a formatter like Prettier or Biome to pre-format most files? A single config file should be enough, and though it adds a development dependency, we could also use commit hooks to auto-format files. lmk what you think

I will have to look into these suggestions; I am not familiar with them. I am all for streamlining and cleaning the theme. Right now, there are issues that are higher priority that are affecting theme functionality, but I will consider this comment in the future.
