I have no strong opinion on the existence of this repo. I suppose that @pheymann had his reasons to do it this way.

Since I faced an issue with it I wanted to point out that the original repo is actually this one: https://github.com/urish/angular-spinner

I have worked around an issue where bower could not resolve the dependency correctly by using git's insteadOf config option: git config --global url.https://github.com/urish/angular-spinner.insteadOf https://github.com/Attrash-Islam/bower-angular-spinner.
