It often happens that images, when opened in halftone, unexpectedly appear rotated 90 degrees. (Not sure when the rotation happens, I've seen it in portrait and landscape photos from mobile phones opened in the desktop flathub app)
Simple buttons for clockwise, anti clockwise in the Adjustments section would help for quickly "fixing" the photo.
