Less awkward camera navigation

I could help with this if requested.

• All characters look tiny, not very dramatic.
• can't click on map or use mouse to pan
• arrows keys pan too quickly
• mouse only looks around, which is useless, and only middle button works (some mice don't have that, such as a Mac with only one button in some cases)
• Zooming in zooms to the bottom instead of the middle.

I can make the pan speed to be adjustable.
I can make the zoom zooming to the middle of the camera, if you wish.
