Backward compatibility

How much work do you think it would be to enable this library to work with Python 2.6, 2.7, 3.2, and 3.3 as Tornado does?

My main target version is 2.7.

I have no intention in maintaining 2 versions separately, but I can have a closer look on the 3to2 tool and see whether it is usable.

I'm keeping a 2.7 version here, use at your own risk though, as it's not 100% tested:

The main issue I see at the moment is the use of type annotations. Otherwise than that the port to 2.7 isn't that difficult with six and considering that like flask-restless the goal is to reduce the amount of boilerplate code.
