Goal
Make diagrams and screenshots readable in both editions with a small built-in image viewer rather than another library.
Requirements
- Activate only for images already allowed through the confined local-resource pipeline.
- Open a lightweight overlay with fit, zoom in/out, reset, pan, and original-size controls.
- Support keyboard, pointer, trackpad, and Escape-to-close behavior with focus restoration.
- Do not permit navigation, remote loading, arbitrary file access, or SVG script execution.
- Keep captions/alt text available to assistive technology.
- Do not disrupt editor focus, selection, scroll sync, or unsaved state.
- Add no third-party dependency and hide controls when printing.
