XP reward multipliers are currently very basic, and are not scaled based on the recently added area levels.
Something based on the area level instead would give a feeling of gaining more XP when getting to higher level areas within the same difficulty. Which is not the case right now. However if players are not farming and zooming through the areas, this might be overkill.
Current values:
- Monsters average XP: 100
- Multiplier in Normal: x1
- Multiplier in Nightmare: x5
- Multiplier in Hell: x10
Excluding quests rewards, here are the current required monster kills:
- To be lvl15 (first nightmare area lvl): 1230
- To be lvl32 (first hell area lvl): 964
- To be lvl50 (raids area lvl): 1300
It could be possible to keep these numbers while having a multiplier based on the area level.
