How can I contribute adding new parameters to the maxscale exporter

I'd like to be able to add new parameters to the metrics for maxscale -- would you give me a headstart? what files to look at and update.
Something like the writeq_hi_water, connection_keepalive?

Thanks vbezgachev for the pointer,
I was able to download the master branch zip file. Made the changes locally and verified them in our container environment.
I will have to push that thru Nokia github repo though. So it will take me few days and let you know once I create the PR.

One comment, the existing "011" release zip file is no good, it's not a probable zip file (can't unzip it).
