Is it possible to get template content indexed by search?

We may have touched on this in the past. Is there anyway to have the static webpage templates turn up in search results?

I think the only sane way would be to have a "page" item type that allows you to fill in content on pages in the admin. Then items of that type could be included in search results, each linking to its corresponding page URL.

It's a pretty sizable feature request. Could even be its own milestone.
