[Feature]: Tab badges / indicators for background ClaudeCode activity #3400

Description

@mikkegt

Feature description

I often run ClaudeCode in one terminal tab (using the claude CLI) and then switch to another tab or repository to keep working while I wait for a response.

It would be very helpful if Wave Terminal could show a clear indicator on the tab when there is new output in a background terminal, so that I can notice when ClaudeCode has responded without constantly switching tabs.

Feature request

  • When there is new output in a terminal tab that is not currently focused (for example, when a ClaudeCode response finishes), please:
    • automatically add a badge or dot to that tab, and/or
    • visually highlight the tab title until I focus that tab

Typical use case:

  • In one tab, I run claude (ClaudeCode) and ask it to work on something.
  • In another tab, I continue editing code or running other commands.
  • When ClaudeCode finishes its response in the background tab, I want to see a badge / indicator on that tab so I know it’s ready.

I know Wave already supports tab badges / tab flagging (e.g. via wsh badge), so if there is already a way to hook terminal output events to wsh badge, I’d be happy to hear about it. If not, a built‑in option for “show a tab badge when there is new background terminal output” would be very useful.

Thank you for your work on Wave Terminal!
