Support 4K (3840x2160) resolution export for screen recordings #151
Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I use a 4K (3840x2160) monitor for my daily work, but currently Recordly only supports 1080p (1920x1080) export resolution. When I record my 4K screen and export it, the video gets downscaled to 1080p, which loses a lot of detail and makes the final recording look blurry, especially for text and UI elements. This is really frustrating when I need to share high-quality screen recordings.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to request adding support for 4K (3840x2160) resolution export in Recordly. Specifically:
- Add 4K (3840x2160) as an optional resolution in the export settings
- Automatically detect the native resolution of the user's display and set it as the default export option
- Ensure the exported video maintains the original aspect ratio and pixel clarity of the 4K screen
Describe alternatives you've considered
- I've tried manually upscaling the 1080p export to 4K with video editing software, but it doesn't restore the lost detail and results in poor quality.
- I've also considered using other screen recording tools that support 4K, but I prefer Recordly's UI and workflow, so I'd love to keep using it with 4K support.
Additional context
My display resolution is 3840x2160 (4K UHD), and I believe many other users with high-resolution monitors would also benefit from this feature. Adding 4K export would make Recordly a more versatile tool for professional screen recording needs.
