Send Feedback back to Midi Controller

Selected Track Control doens't seem to be sending any midi back to the controller.

This can be very useful to update the state of the controller to reflect the currently selected device / track status.

Is it easy to add this functionality? I.e. when I select another track or device the remote script should send the CC's of the newly selected device to the controller so it can update it's led's etc and all the knobs will be in the correct position

Hi, yes, this is a functionality that is missing from STC. Also value
pickup does not work. This is due to STC’s history: it started out as a
tool for controlling Live from a computer keyboard with keyboard shortcuts
(therefore STC’s companion app Kimidi – „key-MIDI“).

Adding MIDI feedback is not a simple task. One could probably add it so it
is working more or less, but it will be a lot of work, which is quite
frankly better spent to base the STC-script on Live’s _Framework-Classes,
which add MIDI-feedback and value-pickup for free while only loosing few
edge-case usages with very special MIDI-configurations. I planned to
rewrite STC on the _Framework-Classes for quite some time and even did some
tests, but I fear this rewrite will be my first vaporware … :/ I cannot
give any hint on when I will have the time to actually do the rewrite. I
hoped that I do it during my parental leave, but there is only one more
week left and I do not see it happening. Sorry, I simply don’t know!
