Download Cache usage

Build and use a cache database, where all the active cases are stacked. Download must decide if cache needs to be rebuild or can be used for return values

It should be a distributed, replicated, scalable, opensource cache/database for the mission-critical geo+time-matching algorithm service call, without planned downtime for maintainance/reindex.
Cassandra is used by Netflix, highly scalable. Kafka could be a choice for scalable matching calls?

At the moment I think caching is not top on our list but we need to plan this. So I´m not expert in managing and distributing such services. If we have someone who can, this would be great!
