at IPET-MDRD we saw a problem with codes.wmo.int. I have checked with Atsushi and it the problem is not in his database (the code table concerned isn't in the database because Access cannot handle the superscripts!)
In Common Code Table 6, the "columns" for ITA5 and ITA2 are swapped. ITA2 can only represent upper case characters, but the entries in code.wmo.int have lower case for IA2 and upper case for IA5 (see http://codes.wmo.int/common/unit/_mm_h-1 as an example). This is clearly a type during the uploading process.
