I just want to edit my inputs, sometimes pressing UP or DOWN arrow, but it rolls back to the history's inputs and then all my edit inputs are gone.

My 2c: this is intended since this is built like a "shell" (eshell does this, too). I personally also didn't like it, so I unbound the keys, but I think the default being like eshell and similar comint based modes makes sense

I used a small trick: pressing the ESC key exits Insert mode and returns to Normal mode, hjkl allowing me to move the cursor and edit text on the lines above and below.
