erlang_ls doesn't start on linux

Opening an erlang project on Ubuntu 24.04 I get the following error, on mac it doesn't happen. I'm not sure where to go look otherwise I'd debug it further.

Installing and switching to elp seems to work. Not sure what the original problem is erlang-ls is.
