Closing as superseded by #1241, which bumps dompurify to 3.4.10 (≥ this PR's 3.4.9) as part of the patch-and-minor group and is being merged to dev. Merging this 3.4.9 bump afterward would be a no-op/downgrade. Thanks Dependabot — the newer bump covers it.
