Not sure what your plans are with this library @alexrudd2. But judging from the last couple of years without any activity from the maintainter (also no response to open PRs), I wouldn't expect any progress. And even if someone suddenly picks up maintenance, I guess there are more important issues to be fixed than pure code cleanup from automated tools.

Just my 2 cents.

If you want to invest some time into improvements here and are up to forking the code, I'd be happy to hear about that with a pointer to the new home.

Agreed! I also emailed the maintainer; this is just an alternative way of saying "hello."

I would consider maintaining a fork, but always reach out first so the code can stay in one place if possible.
