Addressed all comments by Nick on the PR. I manipulated the tests so that they only make one assertion per test.
Please note, after gaining more familiarity with coverage and tox, and due to the sheer amount of tests and data structures in this folder, I focused tox and coverage on testing this particular data structure for this pull request. So when you run tox, it will only be running the tests and showing coverage for the double linked list only.
