This is a hotfix to revert back to the ENABLE_VKBASALT env var, because switching to a different env var causes layer duplication with gamescope (as explained here)

In theory you could STILL have both the original vkBasalt and this fork co-exist on the same system, if you manually replace the env var in /usr/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d/vkBasalt-overlay.json, but only do that if you have no plan to use gamescope. The AUR package will prevent you from installing both, but if you build from source there should be no file collision.

  • Bug fixes with config save/load with preprocessor definitions
  • Stability improvements at extreme framerates (400+)
  • Changed env var to ENABLE_VKBASALT_OVERLAY=1
  • Removed conflicts with upstream vkBasalt, should be able to have both installed at the same time
